    The subway stations of Washington DC are some of my favorite to visit (did I really just say I like to go to a subway station?) because of their architectural interest. The arched ceilings, this one is DuPont Circle Station, and the way they are lit play with line and shadow. The beautiful patterns frequently cause me to get lost in my thoughts while I look up at them and wait for my train. These stations are truly an impressive sight, and a must see on any DC visit.
